I'm fed up with my current non-modular 650W PSU (Cooler Master Bronze GX 650), the cable management is horrible and I'm ready to get a modular power supply.

Any suggestions on some reliable ones?

hi - good choice in dumping the CM GX650.Frum johnnylucky.org Lemon List based on review from Hardocp.

GX-650 650 Failed efficiency rating. Failed load testing. Medicore voltage regulation. Poor DC output quality on 3.3V rails. Outdated design.

If you post a budget and sys specs, I'll be better able to advise.

The one babachicken linked is excellent.

Do you really need a 650 watt supply? If you are running an new-ish intel CPU with any upper end video card in a single GPU configuration you can probably drop down to a 500 - 550 if you don't plan on going dual GPU at any point in the future. For instance if you take a look at the Anandtech review of the 780 ti, using an Intel Core i7-4960X @ 4.2GHz which are notoriously power hungry, none of the machines in single video card configurations used more than 405 watts from the wall. Assuming their power supply was 90% efficient, that means it was actually supplying about 365 watts to the machine . . . at that level it's something pretty much any quality 500 watt supply can handle. http://www.anandtech.com/show/7492/the-geforce-gtx-780-ti-review/15

Just something to keep in mind when starting your shopping. Any modular supply from somewhere like Seasonic or Corsair would do. Just make sure to read a review of the unit before you buy it to be sure it actually lives up to it's claimed rated output. Even something like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139050 should be able to run almost any single video card setup these days.

Hi again - That system will run fine on a good quality 500-550w PSU, but you probably don't want to get
a less powerful PSU than you now have, so here are some good 600+, all modular(semi & full) in addition to the
suggestions linked above:
