Hello, I currently own a corsair CX600 PSU, its running my rig fine for 7 months now. So with the announcement of Nvidia's Pascal GPU's, I'm planning to get the GTX 1070, but I'm scared to hook it up with the CX600 so I'm going to upgrade the PSU, and I have few questions about them:
1. Which Tier 1 do you suggest? (Needs to be modular, GOLD rated) I have the EVGA PSUs in my mind as I have heard good reviews about them, but I don't wanna follow reviews this time cause last time I followed reviews I ended up with a CX600.
2. what is the difference between EVGA G1, G2, GS, GQ power supplies? talking about 650 and 750W units, they are all same price and all tier 1?
I heard some good stuff about the XFX power supplies as well, I really liked the Pro series but it doesn't seem to be available now. and I know Seasonic is like the king of PSUs, but I cant find a tier 1 seasonic PSU.
Anyways I need a power supply that can handle a single fury x (which I'm probably never gonna buy but I need to make sure just in case). would 750W be enough?
Thank you!

The GQ is a step down from the GS and G2 and only Semi-modular , but still a decent power supply.

V650 is also very good , it's made by Enhance and VERY GOOD QUALITY.

V650 is Enhance , not SEASONIC , but very good quality.

V700 , V850 , V1000 , V1200 are SEASONIC.
EVGA G1, G2, GS, GQ po

g1= junk skip
g2= made by super flower and currently one of the best on the market however they got a minor problem at writing stuff (this only affects you if a thunderstorm shuts your psu off while u write data on the hdd it can be corrupted), but has the most stable voltage of all of these power supplies.
gs= made by seasonic imo the best power supply manufacturer since NONE of their units are bad unlike other manufacturers. also an excellent choice in tiny bit worse than the g2(they have better other psus than sf tho).
gq= made by fsp the a small step behind the g2 and gs units but still a great solid choice.

xfx are all rebranded seasonic units(except xt they're only designed by seasonic not made)and so good choice.

a quality 600psu wills suffice, go for the g2 (super flower) or gs(seasonic)

- i own the gs myself and i can't complain -

Well the EVGA GQ 750W GOLD Power supply is cheaper than G2 and G1 and GS by a good margin, and in my case weight is also a problem, and the GQ weights less that the other ones, so if I order GQ 750W it will cost me about $40 cheaper than the GS or G2 or G1, the GQ isn't fully modular but I don't care about the single 24pin motherboard connector not being modular, so how is GQ Quality overall? and is 750W Enough to run all modern Gaming-Level graphic cards? (I don't like SLI or crossfire so don't count that)
also the Cooler Master V650 is also affordable, how is that?

would you look for a good high quality 650 or 750W modular PSU under 85-90 USD? on newegg or amazon

but if the EVGA GQ 750W is available on amazon for 85 USD that is 5 USD higher than GS650, isn't that a better option? I mean the GQ 750? I liked it but you guys kinda made me doubt the GQ lol especially when SR-71 said its a step down

alright folks so 650W is enough for for modern and upcoming pascal GPU's right? Even a R9 390x? if 650W is enough, I'm grabbing either GS 650 or G2 650, $10 difference but that's not a problem.
