Need a wireless card for my desktop

Hey guys I am moving into a different apartment for college and was wondering what the best deal was for a wireless adapter/card or whatever I need? I'm not too familiar with networking but the router would be on the first floor and I would be on the second floor... is this possible? what all would I need? thanks guys. if you know of any good deals on new egg please let me know!

Ask someone who uses that router. If signal is low you might need an antenna. I had to put a 7dbi antenna and I was only 25 meters away from the hot spot.
