hello,

So, i have my current mouse for over 4years now(!) and i think its time for an upgrade.
My current mouse is this trusty fella

https://www.logitech.com/el-gr/product/corded-mouse-m500

I would like to get a new one cause i feel im missing too much when i game.

So i have seen the logitech g403 prodigy. Really liked it, but i wanna know how it performs, future wise. I want my new mouse to last for 2 years at least. Preferably having same size as my current one(posted above)

Lets get to the fun stuff then. My hands are average sized towards small and im right handed. I also dont know how dpi works so i cant give any details for any further preferences.I have a claw style grip and i love fps games (PUBG, BF1, maybe some overwatch too) . Also play smite or some elder scrolls online. My budget can go up to 55-60 euros. Lastly i prefer wired mice.

I really dont know much about mice , but i heard the g403 prodigy is really good from reviews. I would love to hear your opinion on it and i would love to hear a couple more suggestions , cause im kinda lost just looking stuff up. I also kinda liked the Corsair sabre RGB but didnt read that good stuff about it.I really dont want a razer product again, razer craken is the worst headset i have ever tried on my head. Makes my ears hurt a lot and left speaker doesnt always work.

One last question is how much does a good mouse pad affect the mouse? i really dont want to spend over 20 euros for a mouse pad.

thanks a lot

I have the Chaos Spectrum which is the wireless version of the G403, it's a pretty nice mouse. I don't touch the DPI settings once I get them where I like them, but I can take a couple hours getting a mouse set up for me. Personally, I don't use a mouse pad, I should. Huh... Never thought about it, gonna hit up ebay now... I can't see a mouse pad making all that much difference, especially when you've got a good mouse to begin with... But, ya, that mouse will do you well.

oh this one loooks like a way better build quality. i really dont like the rubers at the side of the G403.
Yea thought the same about the mouse pad tbh.
thanks for the answer

I'm a Razer guy and have been for a long time. I've personally only had one major issue with a mouse dying unexpectedly but that was covered by their warranty. Outside of that, I've not had any issues. Take that as the anecdote and subjectivity of what it is. Some people hate Razer for a host of reasons and that's their opinion. Take that for what it is, too.

Ergonomically speaking, they make some of the most comfortable stuff around. They also make a wide variety of mice to fit your needs or grip type. The bottom line and only real way to find out for sure what's going to work best for you is to get one into your hands. I have a Mamba TE which fits my hand perfectly, has a lot of customizable buttons, and a nice shape. I just wish it were a tad bit heavier.

As I'm not sure where you are, here's a link to the the German page (since that's where I'm assuming you are based on the other links):

thanks for the answer.
I would really wanna avoid razer , cause i dont trust their products , after my purchase with the headset. I have tried deathadder a friend had. Not gonna lie it felt pretty good. He encountered some issues though with it and he bought a new one lol. No offence but i have been dissapointed by that company.

The Death Adder is easily one of the best mice available. Great shape, excellent sensor, and good build quality. I may have got another DA had I not got my Mamba. I still have my DA 3.5G which I use at work... and it's probably 6 years old.

There's nothing wrong with what you're stating about a previous experience. You had a negative issue that led you to not trust them. Did you try and get it replaced? Was it under warranty? Or did you not do any of that and instead form a negative opinion without having tried to have them right it? No offense intended here, I'm just asking. I have a host of their gear and it all works great. No issues whatsoever. I did have a Kraken 7.1 USB go out on me unexpectedly but it was somewhat old and I was honestly looking to replace them anyway. Got a new Kraken 7.1v2 to replace them though I did shop around before coming back to Razer.

No offense taken my friend. Unfortunately the krakens werent used that much even though i have them over 2 years now. I was away from home for over half of this time ,but i was able to use them rarely in between.Warranty is for 2 years only and by the time they had the sound issue ,i wasnt able to be home so i could contact support. Sound though is excellent i have to admit . Its just an unfortunate experience as one could say. With the addition of hearing bad things from some close people about some of those products. Im sure deathadder is good , there are countless posts and reviews about it that are great.
thanks a lot for the recommendation though, it all comes down to personal preference. I might try again a razer product in the near future, who knows :)

that might be a bit difficult though 😛

well , i think i will go for the g403 but i find some issues people have with it. eh u will never know till u try right?
