I'm currently refreshing my pc build and I'm stuck on what drive to use for what performance wise. I have a 500gb ssd, a 120gb ssd and a 1tb wd black hdd. The programs I use are Photoshop, Lightroom and steam/origin for games. What drive should I have setup for what to maximize practicality and performance?
500GB for the OS and all applications.
The others depend on your specific usage.
Maybe the 120GB for PS and LR files, the 1TB for games.
Rationale?
You want the OS and applications on an SSD.
The 120GB is right on the edge of too small for that. And things will only get larger. So the 500GB.
Games don't befit much from being on the SSD apart from level loading, so the HDD.
Plus, games are getting too big to fit more than 1 or two on the 120GB.
