Need advice on first pc

Solution

Stock heat sink will work for the 4790.
the 4790k comes with a stock cooler, but you have the "k" series which means you're probably going to overclock? I would invest in a after market cooler. Also, your case supports cards up to 414mm long so that 970 is cutting it pretty close and may block some drives.

Sorry it was actually the 4790 without k. So will stock sink be enough and I'm only going to be using that one ssd so will losing hard drive bays matter?

Is there any difference in these 2 cards.

The one you had selected has a slightly faster clock speed, but we're talking about a .02Ghz difference. Other than that, the cooler is different. The one on the Asus is quieter, while the one on the Gigabyte is more powerful. The biggest difference is that the Gigabyte is longer than your case's recommended length, so you would loose drive bays.

Since I'm only using that one ssd, will it matter if I lose drive space? And will I get away with not using a cup cooler. And lastly do you think this pc setup is decent. Thanks sir
