Need advice on my first computer build

I’m building my first computer, and I would like to get some opinions and input from the tech community. My main focus is on gaming, but I will also use it for AutoCad and as kind of a home theater pc. I would also like to use two monitors for web programming. I don’t have a huge budget and I don’t play AAA games, so my focus is on mid range parts. Here is what I came up with for the main parts after exhaustive research:

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
Motherboard: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon ac
GPU: XFX Radeon RX 580 GTS XXX
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000 Mhz

I went with AMD over Intel based slightly on price, but more on future upgrades. I’ve read that Intel likes to change up their sockets a lot, and AMD plans on sticking with AM4 for a while. I chose the Ryzen 2600 over the 2600x because based on what ive read, I can overclock it to match the 2600x. But can I do it with the included CPU cooler? If I have to spend an extra $30 on a cooler, would I be better off just getting the 2600x?

The motherboard was a bit of a tough choice too. I looked hard at the Gigabyte B450 Aorus Pro WiFi, but more reviews liked MSI, but it was a tossup for me. Both had WiFi, which i need.

The GPU was tough too, im still on the fence about that as well. The RX 580 is slightly cheaper than the GTX 1060 6gb, but draws more power. Both of these cards seem equal otherwise. Though I have not priced PSU’s yet, surely I will need more than 500w.
Memory was probably the easiest choice, Corsair seems like a solid brand. Seems like 8gb will be fine for now, but my choice was between 3000 and 3200 Mhz. This is what most people consider the “sweet spot”. I went with 3000 Mhz because reviews say you can overclock to 3200 pretty easily, so save the money.

I’m not sure if I’m missing anything here, I want to make sure everything is compatible, works well with each other, and the CPU and RAM can be overclocked as planned on this motherboard. So I submit my plans to the experts, because I really don’t want to screw this up, or regret my choices later when I go to upgrade in a few years. Thank you in advance!

The Stock AMD Cooler are Pretty good and quiet and yes you can overclock with them.
I dont know if the cooler is good enought so you can match the 2600X but if you Budget is tight that i would go with the 2600.
For GPU i would also recommend AMD and the rx 580. it does have the same performance as a 1060 but with a better price and more ram.
Yes the Card does consume more power but overall you dont need more then a 500 Watt PSU; 450-550 will be more then enought

You should take a look at the QVL of the motherboard to make sure your RAM will work with it. Amd Systems are way more picky with that then Intel Systems.

Your choices are good and well balanced. That XFX RX 580 8GB is an excellent price right now and overall 8GB RX 580s typically outperform the GTX 1060 6GB marginally, depending on the game. If you want us to have a deeper look at the parts though i agree put it in PC Part Picker and your country so we can compare prices against any other models of the Motherboard and such.
