Hello guys I'm new here and havent much experience in building PC
This is my current spec:
i7 4770
asus z87-a
16gb ram
evga GTX 780
650watt psu

Thing is I built this PC for almost a year ago for 3d modeling and animation (3ds max, c4d, maya, etc.) and also gaming plus a bit of video editing. It has been working very well. But lately I got some projects that demand high amount of polygons, particles like water, fire, smoke,... that really bring my system to its knee. Now I have some options should I:

1. get another gtx 780 or 780Ti
2. get a quadro k4000, will it significantly improve 3dsmax performance? run well with gtx in 1 pc?
My budget is 800$.
Thanks for your time guys and if u have other options i'm willing to hear it :)

Since you want it for professional applications and gaming what about a Titan Black Edition if you can stetch that budget a little bit? The Quadro series is not for gaming, it won't do as good as a top tier gaming card.

Thanks for your replies, I dont think I can afford 1000$ on the Titan cuz Im gonna need to get another PSU (650W may not be enough for 2 cards). I'm thinking to get the k4000 and use it for viewport in Max, heard it handles hi poly scene well, and use my current 780 for RT render and gaming. But I really dont know if I can put quadro and geforce together in 1 PC ?
