Any hardware guru's here that can provide some guidance on replacing my Alienware Alpha R2? I've been using it as a home pc for streaming, NAS access and light gaming? Lately its been booting and pausing with a drive error. I restart and it comes up fine. I figured it might be a good time to just go ahead and replace it.
Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7 6700T
GPU: Nvidia GTX 960 4GB
RAM 16GB DDR4
I'm assuming one of those new mini PCs would be perfect but looking at the specs I can't figure out their actual capability compared to the Alpha R2.
Basically I would like the replacement to provide at least a 50% increase in overall performance (including gaming) over the Alpha R2. Is that doable for $200 to say $350 with a mini PC? The cheaper the better. I'm not looking to invest to much.
