Do you want to purchase a good sim free smartphone device? Think android for the foreseeable future. Have a go on the monopoly then decide. It really does depend on what you expect from your purchase....and the rabbit hole goes deep.

No, I do not. As t-mobile does not offer CDMA I would have absolutely zero use for a CDMA phone.

Pretty much all android phone can run the same apps, so the apps and skype problem shouldn't be a big problem.
I'm sure all <1GB ram phones have wifi and capability for apps. The only actual criteria here seems to be the ram and cameras.

Giving a budget and location would allow us to recommend phones. Right now I have no idea what phone you can buy.

I'M 4rm J&K india & Upto 10,000 INR.

So that would equal ~ $160 US Dollars, right?

I don't know what prices you may have. I searched on ebay.in, and I couldn't find any Samsung smartphone with over 512mb of ram for under 10000 rupees. There were many micromax phones, which are supposedly a large company in india, but I've never heard of them before (not international brand). Most sellers looked risky (under 97% rating or under 1000 ratings). I found some more reputable sellers selling some international brand phones notably the Sony E3 for 8,929 inr (1GB ram, 4GB built in storage, 5mp primary camera, 0.3mp front camera).

Sorry, I don't know what prices you have and what companies you trust, but the Sony Xperia E3 there was the only one I found that fit under your criteria, was from an international brand, and had a reputable seller.

If you are comfortable with buying expensive goods from ebay, check it out here.

Wat about Samsung Galaxy Core Prime

I looked at the Xolo Omega mentioned by another user, and it looks really good for under 10k rupees. The brand is not near as reputable as samsung though. For a suggested price of only 8999 inr, the xolo omega 5.0 is great for the price. It features a 1.4 octa core cpu, 1GB ram, a good resolution screen, an 8mp back with flash and 2mp front cameras, and 3G capability. It has features of a high end phone for a low price. I would go for the 5.0 over the 5.5 personally, as it can fit in pockets easier and is 1000 cheaper, but thats just personal preference.
What you can do is look at phones that have your specifications and are accessible to you to buy (whether on the online store I posted or at local stores), and search up the name. Reviews (especially customer reviews) will tell you how good the phone is.

I have made my mind to buy Samsung Galaxy Core Prime but have still confusions in my mind. 1. No 3g here till now,can i use 2g on it. 2. What is the 2nd sim in it,it is not 3g. 3. Can i use my 2g network in my laptop like we use nokia via nokia suite.
