Need advices upgrading gpu

Hey, so I just got back into the pc gaming world recently and built a computer, but I still need to update my gpu. Im currently running a rx470. My wife recently bought me a 75hz 1080 FreeSync monitor. Is it worth the upgrade at all going from the rx470to the strix rx580, or should I wait for vega 56 prices to come down. Is FreeSync really that amazing? Or would I be fine buying a 1070 or 1080, not exactly sure what would be best. I appreciate any advice!

I7 7700k
Aorus gaming 7 motherboard
32g 3000mhz Corsair vengeance ram
Xfx rx470 (from previous computer)
600w evga psu
Ark survival evolved is currently the only game I really play.

for 1080p 60hz its really not


that game just runs like utter crap for everybody


it would be best to start looking at tweaking guides for it

That’s kinda what I was thinking, as for running the game in general. With my current set up, I do run it at ultra graphics and have little to no issues. Only around massive bases do I experience hard lag.
