I ask my local electronic store what they can give me for a 1500$ build. Here's what they offered me:

Case: Enermax Ostrog GT

CPU: Intel Core i5 4670 Haswell 3.4 GHz + Antec Kuhler 620

MB: ASUS Z87-A

GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD7950 3 GB

PSU: Thermaltake TR2 700W

HDD: Western Digita Caviar Black 1 TB

SSD: Samsung 840 Basic 128 GB

RAM: G Skill Ripjaws X 8 GB - 1600 MHz

OS: Windows 7 Premium 64-bits

Total: 1500$, including taxes

Is that a good future-proof build for gaming ? I want to play BF3 (and later, BF4), Total War: Rome II, Skyrim and other games like that. Should I buy on sites like Newegg or Tiger Direct. But I dont know how to assembly a PC.

The build is okay except the psu, if they have a SeaSonic S12 II 620W would be enough, but here is a list about psu tiers(what they suggest-> in the worst tier 😀) http://www.eggxpert.com/forums/thread/323050.aspx

Anyway if u wanna run oc, an i5-3750K + AsRock Z77 Extreme 4 combo is good. (4th gen intels are not good for oc yet.)

Not an unreasonable retail build. They did pair a non-overclocking chip with an overclocking motherboard.

You could build the same setup and keep it at around $1100 with that choice of parts. The liquid cpu cooler is very optional.

PC Assembly is fairly straight forward, and there are online guides, videos, and you can always ask for help here.

I like how u makin more & more builds, but change that goddamn PSU!!

Reviews of the Corsair CX 430W, 500W, and 600W V2 of these supplies is quite good actually. They may not have the longevity of the highest quality components, but will last quite a few years before needing replacement. And get quite close to the 80Plus bronze spec.
