Hello guys,
Needed some help. I have an Intel i5-4460T @1.9GHz (works at 2.7GHz maximum). Normally it’s temperature is 40-58c and while playing Fortnite it is at 70-75 (75 maximum I’ve ever seen). Is it ok if my CPU runs at such a temperature? It’s tcase temperature is 66.5 c. Help please ! I normally run it for an hour or two. Will it kill my cpu?
My fan is at full speed while playing. I have an all in one so cannot use any other coolers.
I also read that that it is a haswell processor and maximum for haswell processors are 85c. Is this true?

  1. Temps too high. These are « safe » temp guidelines. When my systems have come to their end of life and I’m about to change system, I’ve always overclocked the cpu for the hell of it and let it run about 10c above safe temps, and those systems are still alive. but this is not good to do so of course.
  2. Did you open up your case to check the dust bunny situation? Are you keeping the pc near heat source or somewhere where air can’t escape?

3. model and brand of your prebuilt pc.

4. have you tried anything yet?
