Need driver update software

No, you don't 'need' driver update software.

Drivers, you get directly from the manufacturer. Update on your schedule, not when some random bit of software thinks you need to update.
And only update when you see a problem.

Thanks for the info, but manufacturers websites tend to suggest several drivers without suggesting which one is the correct one. Perhaps there is another way to determine which is the correct one. That is why I was looking for a Driver program that would suggest the correct driver.

I'm in the process of redoing a friends brand new laptop (Toshiba) and yes, it is a PITA.
