I've recently bought XFX Radeon RX 550 graphics card (http://). I've connected 2 dvi monitors to the HDMI & DP outputs of using converter cables. The dual link dvi-d output is connected to another monitor's dvi port that also has a vga port. I have another monitor that has only vga port that isn't connected right now. I'm thinking of connecting this to the dvi output with a splitter cable that can split dual link dvi-d to dvi-d+vga or dvi-d to 2 x vga so that I could use 4 monitors with this card. I've searched the net but couldn't find any suitable option. I would appreciate any feedback on this matter. Thanks!

Solution
When you use a splitter like that, it won't work as an independent monitor. It will duplicate everything on that third monitor. You would need to get something like these DP hubs.

If it's for simple display info only, you can get a USB to DVI adapter as well. Much cheaper.

Edit: Forgot to mention these are random examples of what can work. These are not product endorsements by Toms hardware or myself.

Solution

That is not possible.
Only way to connect more than 3 monitors to your graphics card is by using Display Port daisy chaining feature.

Or connect your 4th monitor to video output of integrated GPU
or get another graphics card to provide more video outputs.
