4870s have gone way up in price; thats not a good deal at this point.

You can get an HIS 5770 for cheaper, which makes it a better value with more longevity.

Caviar blue is a "cool & quiet" drive designed for data storage not performance.

I like your case/PSU and CPU/Mobo combos.

I would agree with dndhatcher about the 4870 being a little on the pricey side...for that much money, I would step to a 4890 for sure....The combo on the processor, mobo, case and psu are all great....

at this point, it would be foolish to get a 4 series video card.

you can get better performance at a lower price with a 5 series card. and its much more futureproof. the 5 series card are already improving in performance with new driver updates. they wll surely push much further ahead of the 4 series cards in the months to come.

well i took ur advice and changed out the video card before purchasing it, got the HD 5770

the 5770 is a good card. its performance will only improve from here.

after christmas ill begin saving for my 5870. i want 5 series NOW! 🙁
