I have Just bought an MSI 970 Krait SLI (AM3+) motherboard and noticed there are only 2 Fan connectors excluding the CPU fan connector (Lack of research. My bad 😛). I am planning to keep it because its a nice board and the aesthetics are great and its the socket of my CPU, so dont just say sell it and get so and so. Im looking for advice from you great people:)

1) Can I run maybe 2 fans on one connector like if there is an adapter where two fan cables go into one which then plugs into the main connector

2) Can I sneak the fan cable into another connector in the motherboard? with no side effects obviously.

If there are any other ways I can have 3 Fans, they all work and its with my motherboard. then please let me know. If not, then also let me know
Thanks

P.S - Sorry for my English im Scottish... 😛

I would suggest buying a fan controller. They don't cost all that much, and they're easy to use. A word of caution: make sure your case has a 5.25in bay (optical drive bay)
You don't want to connect more than one fan to a motherboard connector. You run the risk of overloading that circuit and possible damaging the motherboard.

The easiest way to add fans is to power them from unused disk drive power cables but you won't get any readings from them doing it that way.

You could purchase a fan controller that connects to the PSU for power and then connects to and monitors the fans. They typically report fan speed and possibly temperature.
