3rd generation is a better than 2nd gen for gaming.

I changed the motherboard for one that will work with 3rd generation out of the box.

Thank you, i will go with your suggestion i never notice that the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 came out after the AMD Ryzen 7 2700X and its 3rd gen, btw what confuse me was AMD Ryzen 5 vs AMD Ryzen 7 never thinking the numbers after makes a difference

The 3600 performs around and i7 8700k in games.

The 3rd generation cpus are completely different than the older 1 and 2nd generation cpus.

I was checking up on the items you added and that motherboard wont ship for 1 to 2 months, is there another good motherboard from amazon that can run 3rd gen?

B450 tomahawk or b450 gaming plus.
They can have bios updated for 3rd gen support with just a usb stick.

If you can find the max versions. Of any msi b450, without a wait time those are the best choice.

im going with the B450-A PRO

(MSI ProSeries AMD Ryzen 1st and 2nd Gen AM4 M.2 USB 3 DDR4 D-SUB DVI HDMI Crossfire ATX Motherboard)

It has Flashback so no cpu needed, just power
