NEED HELP: Can't find key

So, my friend just got a new computer (ABS Sentry Sabre - https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883102272) and he turned it on and he is now looking to get into windows, but he needs the product key. He can not find the windows product key and has been looking for awhile. Does anybody know where it would be?

What screen specifically is asking for the license key?

If bought retail, it will be some sort of code on the case or cd. If bought digitally with the laptop, it will be on the pc case. Hope this helps!

He ended up just skipping the screen and was loaded into the desktop. Weird. But thanks.

Next test...change the desktop background.
And verify in ThisPC/Properties.....activation status will be shown at the bottom.
