So I just changed my really old 17inch LCD DVI monitor to a new widescreen 23"

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236117

on my NVIDIA options it only has an option for 60 hertz. How can I change it to 75 hertz? My really old monitor supported 75hz. it says the new monitor supports 75 hertz under the details tab on Newegg. I also didn't mention I am using DVI and the highest resolution. I tried lowering the resolution and checking to see if the 75hz option is available however it is not.

If you go any lower than the resolution I am at, it gets very distorted and there is poor image quality.

btw I unchecked "hide modes that this monitor cant display" under properties/settings/advances/monitor.

You don't need to set LCD monitors past 60. Make sure your resolution is set right for the new monitor, and also there should be an auto adjust on the monitor that almost always helps a lot with image quality if there are obvious issues. You may need to load the INF file for the monitor from the vendor, or update your video card drivers.
