Need help choosing between these two graphic cards.

I'm building my first pc and I'm stuck on the graphic card and I can't decide which one would be the best.

I have a 720p T.V that I use as a monitor.

I would like to get ultra/max settings for all the games I play which include

-spintires

-BeamNG.drive

- Black ops 2

-Black ops 3 (when it comes out)

-Battle field 4

-Need for Speed: Most Wanted


I need to know what is better for gaming. Yes I know the R9 290 is better (I think) than the R9 380, but it's also more expensive..

What I'm trying to figure out is which would be better for me, I think the R9 380 can run the settings I want at the resolution with ease, but for how long?

Pretty much what I'm wanting is not a quick little part that will last like 6 months or a year before needing replace. I'm looking for a graphic card that I can use for 2-3 years at the same settings and get decent FPS before needing replaced.

So do you think the R9 380 will last me 2-3 years or should I go with the R9 290?

* a side question, what if I Crossfire the R9 380? Would that be better in the long run then the R9 290?

Go with the R9 380. You can save money and also its great with those games. You should get more than 60 FPS ez on your 720P Monitor. It comes with DX12 so it is better for the future. You can get crossfire when you really need it. The 380 will be great for what your doing and also really good when you upgrade to 1080P. If you go to 1440P, then go for crossfire. You should last at least 2 years with your graphics card. Hoped I helped!
