Need help choosing between two 17.3" HP laptops

Hi, You all helped me pick my gaming computer (I ended up with an MSI so thanks!) but now I need a computer for my husband. He does not game but wants a nice computer to do his work on. I saw two computers on sale at Costco with the following specs:

The main issue I have is whether the single 512G SSD drive is better than a 256G SSD + a 1TB HDD. Additionally is the screens, resolution and nits. The first has a Brightview screen with 1600 x 900 resolution, 250 nits and 60% NTSC. The second one has an IPS antiglare screen with 300 nits, 1980 x 1080 resolution and 100% sRGB. Also the second one has faster ports. The second one also has an entry level video card instead of the IRIS integrated one.

The computer will mostly be used for work and no gaming.
I don't know if the first one is old and the second one is a better bang for the buck. They are $150 difference but are not on sale for long. I already bought a garbage one which I can't wait to bring back. I appreciate your feedback.

The single 512GB SSD setup is suitable for most of people who don't save a lot of videos and audio files on disk.

Moreover, the lack of a 2.5" mechanical HDD means longer battery life if you have to work at the places where there is no wall outlet.

What I was concerned about was the two different screens. One is a Brightview with lower resolution and the other is an IPS screen which I believe is an matte finish with higher resolution. I also noticed there is a difference in the port speeds.

Could you please weigh in on that? I agree that a larger SSD drive is good but I wonder about the other specs with that computer. Thanks.
