So I'm going to get a new gaming rig during September or other winter months.I been saving up and I now have a budget of $3,000.And I was wondering, should I get 3-way GTX 970 SLI,2-way 980,2-way 980 ti,or simply just a Titan X.I'm really not sure which one to choose but I want to future-proof it and I need some assistance :3 Thanks for your help!

Solution
I'd be inclined to say the GTX 980 Ti in SLI would be the best option, but wait for benchmarks before blowing your money.

If you went for this option I assume that your motherboard and PSU are fit for purpose?

Im aiming to go for 1440p +100 fps average and maybe upgrade to 4k if I can.To be perfectly honest, I'm not sure,if I see there are good 4k gaming monitors,I probably will go for it.Since I'm getting it in September I didn't make quite a lot of plans, but I have a 4k tv in my living room and trust me,it looks GLORIOUS.

Go for the SLI 980ti, it is the best option for 4k. The price difference with the 980 is well worth the difference for high res gaming. The Titan X is overpriced considering it is just a hair faster than a 980ti and costs 350$ more.

That should look awesome, I game on a 4K 50" samsung hdtv and its amazing but just to let you know that you will have around 50ish MS response time which is fine for single player gaming, MMOs and such but can suck for FPS like BF4.
