So I've been having this problem for some time now. I got a computer for gaming however I'm having problems playing some games (FireFall, Skyrim Planetside 2, and Xcom Enemy unknown). So one second the game will work perfectly fine until it turns off then right back on the next mil-sec without any warning. I'm think it my ram, but i really don't know could really use some help here.

My computer components are listed below.

Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 R2.0
Processor: AMD FX(tm)-4170 Quad-Core Prcessor
RAM: 6.00 GB
Graphic Card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 550 Ti
Power supply: 700W
OS: Windows 7 64- bit

I know it not overheating cause i checked with HWMonitor had it say my processor was 70 degress C, and it didn't turn off then I had it say 35 degress C when it did shut off.

Your PSU is very very poor!

Tier 5 - Other than the units listed above for any of these brands, NOT RECOMMENDED. Replace ASAP if you have one.

Yup I'm lost lol i got that my PSU sucks, but you guys lost me here going into details keep in mind i almost nothing about computer hardware just the basic really an even my knowledge on that is limited at times. With that stated i did change my power plain to power saver 0'mi running a lot of games i couldn't before however my FPS sucks, and i have to go from high, or normal graphic settings to low, or very low if there an option for it. Any chance this is telling me my PSU to blam for the random shut downs without warning?

Yes. If the GPU or CPU draws enough power that's enough. Also, shitty PSUs like the one you have have a tendency to start electrical fires. (This is not a joke. For your own safety, please get a new PSU.)

Alright that a scary thought. I'm looking into a Antec TP-650w thoughts on it maybe, no, burn it if I buy it? I also think on a nvidia 660 graphic card some day. I don't know if I'll get that one first I want my computer to work with whats in it now before I look into that so I do want some room to expand.

The G means it's Gold certified, but both are top notch. Just get it from the cheapest site on pcpartpicker.com, all of them are reliable.

The TP-650 is out of stock or discontinued every were I've looked they don't even have it on that site can someone recommend a PSU?
Found a Corsair TX-650 v2 should i just go with this one? Found it on newegg.com.

Easily. The TX-650 is great as well.
