Need some help here guys cause either the motherboard specs are a lie and emachine and acer are also lying so I need help to figure out what is going on cause somthing is not adding up.
Ok here is my not really a problem but a confusing situation that I have the specs that I found for my emachine motherboard says that it can only accept and REAd 2 Gb of ram well iv puchesd a 4gb stick and a 2gb stick cause I was low on money at the time we'll they are both in the mobo that says it can only accept 2 at the most.
Now what I find weird is some apps like the geforce experience app for instance says that iv got 6 but can only use 4 then on the other hand the task manager says iv got 6 but can only use 2. But then the game no mans sky after the recent update that was released this or last week.... anyway the game says iv got six and all can be used.
So I was like hmmmmm let me check somewhere else so I downloaded cpu-z and it says that I have 6 and can use all 6 so what in the f*** is going on cause somthing isn't right I mean I'm not complaining about it but it's kind of weird.
Also iv read other places that too much ram for your mobo could cause it not to work, boot, or even turn on at all so could someone please help I want to take the 2 out and get a 4gb stick in replacement but I'm just confused is all.
Someone please help my brain is about to explode.
Oh and here are the specs plus mobo model number.
Cpu: AMD Athlon II X2 220
Mobo: EL1352G (Nividia Chipset)
Ram: 6Gb DDR3 Dual channel (1600mhz for both sticks) Avexir
GPU: Evga Geforce GTX 950 FTW 2gb
PSU: Crosair TX650W
