Need help connecting my router to a secured network

Hello guys,
i will try to explain my best. I am studying in university, and normally u cannot connect a router to their dormitory network cable, cz they will ban you from using their internet. But i asked and they said that if i will make so that all the devices that connects to my router will get my university DHCP i can do it, so i hope u understood and will help me to solve this problem

They want you to turn your router into a Switch / Access Point basically.

Turn on your router, don't plug it into the internet though.
Do plug your computer into it.
Open up its web interface, usually 192.168.0.1 or something close.

Disable DHCP, disable router, disable everything other than WiFi

Done!
