Need help fast please: (

Hello to Everyone. This may sound awkward or not, but thats what Happen!

I've been playing diablo3 and for the past 2-3 days I've been getting Random Black Screens which never happen before since I am using the GPU. At the other day I've grabbed a bottle of water and put it on my desk, after that I've spilled the water on my desk ( randomly ) and 5 min after that My Monitor went black and PC restarted, I heard a noisy sound from the GPU and the fans were working at 100%, i've looked if I Spilled water on the PC Case , but there was no water on it, opened the Case and looked at the GPU, no water ! After that I've pulled it out and looked again, still no water, well, can it be just really random moment and my GPU died at the same time as I pulled the water on my desk or I am getting crazy? Now The GPU is not working, fans are working at normal speed , but no connection with the monitor.

The GPU has 7 months more warranty, I've sent it back to the Store, i am worried if they tell me that I've damaged the GPU, a lot people ( Friends ) told me that even if they damaged the GPU's or whatever, they got a new ones or repair.

Question is - If Water killed it, would the fans still work? or if its killed by water will I get any artifacts on the screen or anything else? I am so confused ! Even if I didn't find any water on the GPU i am still worrying because of the warranty / what the black screens stand for? Overheat? I never has black screens before !

I've never had issues with my system since I built it. Never had Black Screens, freezes or anything else, other thing Is that I haven't cleared the card for a long time. I found a lot of dust after I took it out before sent it to the company for ''repair''


-Sorry for My English ( Not first language ) Card model is Gigabyte GTX 670 fabric OC'ed with 3 fans.

It's most likely going to be a coincidence. If the water got into your PC, it probably wouldn't have taken more than a few seconds let alone 5 minutes to have caused your monitor to go back. If water was the cause, you'd probably have heard a "pop" sound, burning smell, or something else that would be obviously very bad. Also, have you tried just reinstalling the card since you cleaned it? You mentioned there was alot of dust. It could have just been the card was overheating and shut itself down due to high temps. If you try card again and it still doesn't work, you should be fine sending it back for RMA warranty replacement.

Hey Liquid ! Thanks for commenting ! I haven't tried to change drivers or whatever It was just the first time I got problems with my baby GTX 670 and I sent it to the store if it's burned out, will they give me a new one if it's dead because of dust/overheating? And Yes about the water there wasnt water at all, no smell or something. Only thing that happen and was weird is that the screen turn black for few seconds and then goes on again ( sound was there ) - this is before it ( died ) Anyways i am calling them tomorrow to see whatsup, I hope for a repair or new one because kinda broke for new purchases atm

ANd yes I've reinstalled it, the fan was working on normal speed ( wasnt working at 100% ) , but no signal on the monitors

They shouldn't give you any trouble. I don't see how they would know it was dusty anyways, and I'm sure a lot of people don't clean them out at all. They will most likely give you a refurbished card as a replacement. Being that the 670 is no longer produced, you may even get a newer card. It really depends on the store/company.

Calling the store tomorrow to see whats going on, they may be sending the GPU to the UK for repair... hopefully they will just give me a new one, but don't think so.

Called the store today after one week still haven't tested it, I was rly mad and told them if I don't get answer I'll just buy new one, can they fake somehow the GPU and tell me that It's not fixable or warranty won't work on it because I was rude? Fckin Stupid stores.

A reputable store shouldn't give you any real trouble. They may be dragging their feet on this though as they're not really getting money out of it. However, they don't want to lose a customer, plus in the internet age, if word gets around they're doing bad business practices(denying your claim for a non-legitimate reason), they'll be the ones that suffer for it.
