putting this in power supply cause not sure where else to put it but here are my parts.

nvidia gefore rtx 4070

i9 14900kf

asus prime z790-v wifi

2 16gb sticks of ddr5 ram

idk the brand since this is a prebuild but i have an io liquid cooler for the cpu and 4 case fans

if it matters running a 32" samsung curved monitor 1440p and an old LG 28" at 1080p

i apparently need to do a bios update and in my area we lose power randonly pretty often so I'm trying to be safe and get a ups first even tho my MB has that asus crashfree 3 tech, as some have said its part of the bios itself so may not work if i lost power during an update so idk if i trust it

in the past i was having alot of Bsod and had to go change settings in the bios to stop this which seemed to work kind of, i still get them from time to time. I never even thought about a bios update till now. wow gives this popup when i launch it now. I;ve also been told the without the bios update the 13th and 14th gen cpus degrade rather quickly.

13th and 14th Gen Intel processors have been riddled with instability issues which stems from a manufacturing defect. A BIOS update shouldn't take more than 5 mins, max 156. If you can figure out a window when power doesn't go out, like nighttime when power draw is reduced overall from the grid, maybe flash the BIOS then.

They'll still degrade, the BIOS updates are meant to allow you to use the system.

You forgot to mention the make and model of the PSU. That's what would dictate what sort of an UPS you'd need as a bare minimum.

If this is really a UPS (uninterruptible power supply) question, then you need to measure the ACTUAL amount of amperage or wattage your system uses while in use. You can't size a UPS without knowing what the actual load is.
In the US something like this is the way to go -- https://www.amazon.com/P3-P4400-Electricity-Usage-Monitor/dp/B00009MDBU
There are similar devices for UK and EU.

You might want to go to the APC web site.
They have an app to calculate what you need.
There are two components:
1. How much power is to be delivered.
You may not want to connect all components.
2. How long do you need to run on battery power.
Temporary interruptions do not need much, perhaps 5 minutes for a graceful shut down.
Having to work for an hour is a different thing.

Past the app, I think they will actually talk with you.
