Need help finding a computer case

If you are going for a micro ATX case, just make sure all of your components will fit correctly. Most retailers will be able to give you dimensions on parts. ~There is nothing worse than trying to build a system only to find that one or two parts won't fit.

Make sure you have good intake and exhaust airflow with these also, as they can become little hotboxes.

Aside from that, those two you have listed look decent.

Solution

Now I have a question. How exactly do I find out if my components will fit?
(Might as well tell you my specs, just in case I can get some help with that too)
Mobo -GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-S2
GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650
CPU- AMD FX-4100 Quad-Core Processor
RAM- 8 Gigs
PSU- Not sure, and I'm too lazy to check. However from what I've seen, it's relatively smaller than most.

Any help on whether or not it'll all fit into one/all of the ones I've stated/have been recommended?

Somewhat surprisingly, most manufacturers usually do list the dimensions of their products on the specifications pages on websites for this purpose. The only thing you really need to worry about not fitting properly are the GPU length, and any aftermarket HSF if you have one. Most case manufacturers will state how high this can be in their product. Then other things to consider are things like heat spreaders which come on the RAM modules....are they chunky etc.

It's probably nothing to worry about, but just be aware if you have any particularly large components to squeeze into there, because it is heartbreaking if you cannot complete the build for this reason.

One last thing, Cable management is key within these cases too. You might have to spend more time than you thought in getting all the cables tied and tucked out of sight. It helps greatly with airflow and also gives you more space to work inside the case!

Did a bit of research, and the 650 is actually really compatible with cases like these due to it's small compact size. And I'm pretty sure I have a standard fan on my CPU, so that's good. Nothing in my computer is really bulky at all actually (Which is the reason I'm going down to a smaller case. There's so much unnecessary room and it's kind of irritating :na: ) Also, zip ties are definitely a must have for stuff like this I'm guessing?

Last thing, any recommended fans I should get along with these cases?

I have stopped using zip ties.
When you need to change things, they are a pain.
For the occasional tie back, I use the plastic covered wire ties that wrap up things such as power cords.

The only limitation in component size for the two Silverstone cases I referenced is the max psu length which is around 160mm.

The included fans are very quiet.
Regardless, I recommend that you try out the fans that come with ANY case first.
You can always change them out later.
Faster fans provide more airflow, but at the cost of more noise.
The performance of any fan is largely determined by the diameter and the rpm.
There are only minor differences attributed to design and quality.

Alright. I'll look into using the plastic wire ties instead. I can see what you're saying about those over zip ties. Just seems more manageable. And as for the fans, I can see what you're saying about using the included fans first. Thanks for all your help geofelt!
