Question Need help finding a CPU

Hello all,

I am in need of help finding a good CPU that is compatible with my motherboard. I live in Canada so I'm looking to buy in between the 130-270 CAD range. I play mostly CS:GO which is a CPU intensive game, so I need something that can pull its weight. It's worth mentioning that I have a 1050. My motherboard is the MSI B250M PRO-VD, which supports 7th/6th Gen Intel Core/Pentium/Celeron processors for LGA 1151 socket. I'm not too good with computers so I was hoping to get some help and avoid ordering the wrong CPU and wasting a bunch of time.

Do you also have ram, already? Personally, I wouldn't invest money into a dead platform.

yes, i have 12gb of hyperx fury ram

What speed? Also 12gb is going to cause you performance issues, as it will force single channel. Ram has to be in matched pairs, for dual channel to work.

Of that will 8gb still run dualchannel.
