need help finding gaming/schoolwork laptop

So I really want a laptop that I could use for gaming, schoolwork, editing and all that stuff. I'm not a big fan of Microsoft 8, so if you can find something thats not Microsoft 8, thanks. I want the laptop to be black and simple kinda. Any laptop company is okay but not Apple. My budget is under $900. I want the laptop to run smoothly, fast and is 990p or more. And I really want most of the Microsoft applications to one there like Word and stuff.

I might suggest looking at the MSI GP60 Leopard-1053 which, with the "free" headset looks to be a very nice deal currently - kinda makes me want a new laptop even though mine's still very much serviceable.

Most laptops will have Windows 8.1 currently, but whether you get something with 7 or 8.1, Windows 10 will be released at the end of this month, and as long as you have a genuine copy of Windows, you'll be able to upgrade for free.

You can get any Windows 8.1 equipped laptop from a reseller and request the reseller install Windows 7 for you, also.
