Hi guys, I'm looking for help on part suggestions to build a new gaming computer. My budget is about $1000. I already have gaming keyboards, mice, headsets, and monitors so I won't have to purchase those. I also happen to have an unopened PNY 2.5-Inch 480GB Optima Solid State Drive that I would like to use to install my operating system and program files on. Can you guys help with helping me find good quality parts that are within my price range? I'm looking to build a computer that will last me a few years, I'd like to play world of warcraft and first person shooters like Battlefield on it.

It looks like I will need to purchase the following:
Tower / case
Power supply
Motherboard
Graphics card
CPU
RAM
Standard hardrive (for pictures, music, documents, etc)

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I actually have a new and unused PNY 2.5-Inch 480GB Optima Solid State Drive. Will that work with this build? If I can use that, then I won't have to purchase another SSD and this build would be around $1000.

So I reconfigged the build slightly to run more black and white! I put in a GALAX HOF GTX 970. The only issue is it doesn't display the price thoug I know that it will be around the area.

So I like that you mentioned future proof. I would really like this computer to last about 4-5 years. If I can get parts now that are really good or I can easily upgrade in the future it would be better. Even though my price range is about $1000, I am willing to spend a few hundred extra if it means my computer lasting a bit longer. I would love to finally be able to play some of these new first person shooters in high setting with high FPS also. Will this build or the other ones be able to?

there will be always have a better hardwares at each new years ... computer technology always change each 6 month
so thats impossible to know in advance which hardware we should buy now

but the rig i built for you should do the job very well for at least 3 years approx....
you can buy an other gtx 970 to put in SLI with the setup i built for you , and above all with the psu i added to the build
you will able to handle the SLI config without problems

Ah okay. I just want to make sure I can run the latest games on high settings and then I can easily upgrade to keep the computer running new games for 3-5 years.
