[SOLVED] Need help fixing my keyboard

Hey, my keyboard just recently started going berserk, like, w activates caps lock, o activates f7, etc. Anyone know how to fix it, it was working perfectly till today.

unplug/replug the keyboard?

Unplugging and replugging it in didn't work, I did shut down and start it up again, but that didn't do anything.

Is it some fancy mechanical keyboard?

If not and it costs like $15, then just get a new one.

Well, my keyboard was made by ASUS and is wired.

I mean, I got it when I got my computer, and I have ordered a new one just in case I can't get the current one to work. As the cost, I'm not sure, I got my pc a few years ago.

You could try reinstalling the Keyboard Driver.

If you open up Device Manager, Look for keyboard and you should see something like this:

Try Uninstalling the HID Keyboard Devices only.

If its a mechanical keyboard i.e. with a cable etc then it should automatically reinstall the drivers after you take it out and put it back in. Otherwise Restart your PC/Laptop.

Errors like this usually happen after a liquid was spilled onto the keyboard, or internal electrical failure. Disassemble and check it (in most cases you'll find several plastic sheets inside) for oxidation / damage.
