Need help for new headphones

Hi
My old headphones broke and i am in need for a new one.
So i wanted to ask you guys if it would be better to buy a separate mic and headphones or buy 1 headset.
Sugestions are welcome.
It would like it if it isn't too expensive and being able to pinpoint the enemy's location by sound since it will mainly be used for gaming.
