Hey,

I'm in a bit of a jam and would really appreciate your guy's help troubleshooting a problem on my system. Here are my system specs for reference:
  • CPU: Intel i5-13600K
  • Motherboard: ASRock Z690 Extreme
  • RAM: Corsair VENGEANCE RGB PRO 3600MHz 32GB
  • GPU: AMD RX 580
  • PSU: 600W
So here's the situation: I recently acquired an RX 580, and while it works perfectly on my friend's computer, I can't seem to get it to work on my system. To rule out any issues with my system, I borrowed my friend's GTX 1050 Ti, and it worked flawlessly on my PC.

Here's what I've tried so far:
  1. Reseated the RX 580 to ensure it's properly connected.
  2. Tested both PCIe slots on my motherboard.
  3. Changed the PCIe speed to 3.0 in the BIOS.
  4. Verified that the PSU is providing enough power.
  5. Tried connecting the DisplayPort to the motherboard to see if the motherboard detects the GPU, but unfortunately, it didn't.
  6. Updated BIOS.
In addition, when I turn on the computer with the RX 580 installed, the GPU fans spin for about 1 second and then stop. No display appears on my monitor.

I'm reaching out to the community for some guidance. Has anyone experienced a similar issue or have any suggestions on what I should try next? I'd really appreciate any insights or advice you can provide.

Thank you in advance for your help!
