Need Help, How to install another drive with windows 10 laptop

Hi Currently it has windows 7,
Can I still get the upgrade?

Now main concern is that the windows OS is on the drive I want to physically change in the laptop.
Do I install windows 10 on that drive? and then clone the drive? Will cloning trick the laptop?

Do I put the other drive in the other spare laptop bay set up for installation to windows 10 and then tell it to install on the other drive drive as I install windows 10? Can you do this? Even if I have the drive externally set up.

That is there is 2 bays.. 1 for an OS and one for Other.

The easiest way to do it is to install the upgrade on the current system, and then use Paragon SSD migration tool to migrate to the new HD
