NEED HELP!! i7 4770k overclocking problems!

so after a couple hundred tries and reseting cmos and disabling speed step, and disabling turbo mode , i set the clock to 40 (4.0GHz) and DRam is at 1066MHz but still i somehow end up with only 800mhz! please help!

800MHz x 2 = 1600MHz.

Sooo at what speed is your RAM supposed to be?

im not talking about the RAM im asking about my cpu's clock speed, that is at 800MHz RAM runs at 1300MHz , what it's supposed to be at

Hmmm could just be a glitch. Run Prime95 or OCCT.

Reset your motherboard BIOS.

Put the windows power plan on high performance and see what happens.

Yea a bios update might help you out here. It looks like your motherboard is setting your multiplier to 8 according to CPU-z. I would also uninstall any software that you're using for overclocking as that may be forcing your motherboard to do something other than what you're setting it to. But make sure your BCLK is set to 100mhz and your Multiplier is 40 after doing all that.
