My company where I got confirmed recently has sent me their own company system to work from home. Now, I'm really at loss as to how do I connect the second system.

I already have my own desktop which is connected using ethernet cable to router. Now I need to be able to use my internet in the work PC also. I tried to search on the internet but most of the tutorials were about file sharing between 2 pc which I don't want to. I just want to be able to access the internet and keep 2 system completely separate. If the work PC had wifi facility then it would've been easy but this one has RJ45 connectivity. No Wifi unfortunately. I'm not so tech savvy and need your guidance to set this up correctly. I hope I have provided enough information. Would really appreciate your help.

Firstly, it would help to know what router you have.

Most routers generally have 4 Ethernet ports and it's often as simple as connecting the PC to one of those ports on the back of the router with the cat6 cable you mention.

But we need to know more about what equipment you have

You can either run a second cable to the router or if that is inconvenient, then you put a small ethernet switch like this -- https://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-5-Port-Gigabit-Ethernet-Unmanaged/dp/B07S98YLHM/?th=1
You plug the existing cable from the router into one port and your PC and your work PC into two additional ports using short new cables.

Thanks for replying back. Really appreciate your quick reply.

So, I have attached the second RJ45 cable to one of the 4 ports in the router which are of the same color. One of the port was already connected with my own PC. Second one I connected to the work PC. Is that enough to access the internet in second PC? Do I have to set up anything in the work PC or my own PC?

Yes that should provide internet access. I agree with @ex_bubblehead that your first go-to should be your company IT support. They do this all the time and are familiar with any quirks of their software packages.

Yes, I have contacted the IT support but it could take a while due to shortage of staff but it seems like problem is solved. Internet it working in my Work PC. Albeit slow but its functioning. I guess I was unnecessarily got worried.
