Hello,

So a friend of mine needs help since she wants to hook up a small lcd monitor to an old desktop that takes in VGA (at least that what it looks like to me).

Here's a picture of the Dell monitor's female plug in the back:

Here's the cable that original went to her old crt monitor.

What cable would I need?

Is this a VGA to VGA or a VGA to DVI type ordeal?

Also, if you know what cable or female to male adapter that she needs to buy, can you please provide me an Amazon link. She's a bit older so she's only really comfortable buying stuff off Amazon.

Thanks a bunch for reading my post!

I can't tell if they are both VGA honestly.

They are both VGA it will work just fine. Don't worry.

Couldn't you just plug them in...?

It was a female to male plug from the monitor.

The plug shown is actually from the old monitor. She doesn't want to use that one, and instead wants to use the lcd monitor.

I gave her an Amazon link.

Anyway, thank you for telling me its VGA, that helps.
