need help in laptop choice

hello


my cousin wants to get her kid a laptop so he can play fortnight. she wanted one around $300 but i told her thats very unlikely a laptop at that price. i don't really play games so not sure the specs for fortnight.

her other wants or uses for it would be less requirement needed than the game.

i prefer not hp or acers bad experience with them i am liking my dell but it was a much more expensive model.

if we could keep as close to $300 but still leave room for future game.

any help would be appreciated

You can't really do much with 300 dollars.
Best you can do is a small ssd, and integrated graphics, and 4gb ram.
So future games probably wont run well on a 300 dollar laptop.

$300 is really not enough for a capable gaming laptop. You could get a decent desktop for that, but not a full laptop.

CPU and IGPU can technically run Fortnite with very low settings if you dont mind a low framerate. However, the 4GB ram is really not enough especially as the IGPU eats into the stock 4gb.

If you can stretch to $400 and dont mind refurbished here is a better option.
