Question Need help in memory stick quantity

So basically I have an 8gb stick of Corsair Vengeance LPX and I want to upgrade. I want the Vengeance RGB Pro 2x8 kit but then I would have 3 sticks, is that okay? Also if this works how would I place them? MB: MSI Z270 Gaming Plus

With memory it's a hit or miss and can be quite finicky. Your best option is to sell your current stick and buy that 2x8gb kit to avoid issues incompatibilities. Even if you bought a identical kit there's no guarantee it would work.
