Need help increasing FPS!! Bottlenecking

I recently just made my computer, I thought I was going to have strong computer to play Dayz and Arma 3!! the thing is I am getting like 30 frames per second and lower with these games. When I play fallout new Vegas and GTA 4 I get a solid 56 fps, I can't increase the number or decrease it with both games. I really want to play Dayz and Arma 3 on at least consistent 60, I don't know what to do. Please Help! I am not computer savy

My computer specs.
GPU: Geforce GTX 970
CPU: Intel(R)Core(TM) i7-4790K CPU @4.00 GHz
Memory: 16.00 GB Ram=the ram i bought was included when I bought a retail computer. It is not corsair vengeance or anything like that. I figure is just standard RAM
Resolution: 1920x1200, 59Hz
Operating System: Microsoft windows 7, 64-bit
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII Hero

Are you sure you're not using your igpu? Make sure your monitor is connected to your gpu and not motherboard.
Have you installed your graphics drivers?

Yes I connected everything to my GPU, everything is up to date with the drivers as well. It is very weird that I am having these problems, any more suggestions?
