Need help installing a mod .ini files

I've been trying to install a mod for Dishonored but it doesn't work for me, it says in the installation guide that I shall simply move over the .ini files in the mod download over to my config folder. The mod is supposed to make limbs fall of more easily while playing dishonored and also higher the corpse count but it doesn't work. I need help to install it.

did you copy the .ini file into the config folder? and replace the .ini file that was there presumably?
Did you try asking on the place you got the mod from?

I added it into the folder and overwrote it
