Need help new computer running slow

I have recently built new gaming computer for my son. the computer instillation went flawlessly and started up and ran slow and "laggy" thru start up multitasking. games ran fine after they were slowly loaded up though we were getting random freezes here and there. the instillation included a Crucial V4 128GB SATA II MLC. the first install i forgot to enable TRIM and ACHI mode. So i reran the instillation with all that enabled and no dice. windows performance index says the hard drive is 6.9 out of 7.9 which is a little slower than expected. i disabled page filing and indexing. ANY HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

did you install the motherboard drivers that are on the disc that came in the motherboard box?

yes most up to date drivers from gigabyte. think the bios needs updating? or i have faulty SSD or motherboard

install firmware from ssd site?

has to have something to do with the ssd.

i configured the drive same as the my machine (which fly's). firmware on the drive hasn't been updates to latest it could be next option before returning the drive. :/

drive reviews on newegg have been very poor going to get OCZ drive if they don't offer any updates in the next week or so thanks for all the help fellaz!
