Hello

I just built a new system with a i7 4790k. The case I am using is the enermax ivektor which is a nice case. But I want to save this case for my i7 5820k build that I will do later.

I was looking at the Aerocool DS200 case. Is this a good case or is the ivektor better?

I am also looking at the Thermaltake Core V51, but I am not going to do crazy water cooling so I dont think I need it.

Hey,

When choosing a case there are few things that you should look at:

1) Its performance & build quality. How much breathing space it provides for better cooling your components. That is, how well is its air flow. IMO all high end rigs should be put in full tower cases. Proper organized Intake and Exhaust can do wonders.

2) After this, you need to see how well it can accommodate cooling components or how flexible it is to contain all kinds of stuff. Like how many drive bays it has etc. And the front panel with things like audio jack, USB 3.0 support etc etc.

3) Lastly its looks. I for one am a fan of side panels. And whether it comes with hue lighting or can easily accommodate some lightening modification or not.

4) Extra features like sound suppression etc if you're aiming for a quiet rig. Whether it's user friendly or tool free or not.

As for which is better b\w enermax ivektor and DS200. Than it's Enermax one since it supports a top rad and has better air flow in comparison to DS200.

TT V51 is better than both but it won't be worth it if you're not using any AIO liquid cooling solution. And you would use them only when you're overclocking otherwise some simple & cheaper air cooler can do that as well.

As for making up your mind you only need to ask yourself which system you will be using more. And i think it will be most likely the new one with 5820K, so if it's going to run more then it needs a better case that provides better cooling.

Hope that helps.
