>Hi Lynn

i am probally the last person that you would want to
respond to your plea for help. You see I need some help
myself! Fact is I can't figure out how to even post a cry
for help with out going through you!
If you get in touch with some help, pass this along will
you?
I have a Compaq Presario 6000 (6400nx) XP Home Edition
2002. Once upon a time I had Yahoo installed, and it
lasted for a few days, then it just quit. Now when I try
to reinstall i get this warning: (in red) REMOTE ACCESS
SERVICE INSTALLED---then I am offered this wild solution
to Install Remote Access.
I don't know if you can post this responce and maybe get
me some help, but if so, three cheers for you!
Thanks

Eugene, jcccboy

Hi Lynn

Dependent on which type of XP CD you have, you may be given the option of a
new installation. Reboot your PC with the XP CD in the cd drive. The
following article by Michael Stevens will show you how to perform a 'Clean'
install of XP:

"Clean Install Windows XP"

Hi Will,

But the problem is that I've already downloaded Windows
XP Home Edition onto my system. And I've Windows98
running as well. So does it still apply? I'm still
confused...

Hi

Did you upgrade Win 98 to XP Home? If you perform a 'Clean' install with
XP, you will lose Win 98, if they are both on the same partition.

Hi Will,

I've got 2 partitions. Win98 is in C, and XP is in D. Is
that the reason, why my installation failed?? What should
I do?
