I am undecided. Motherboard went bad so I want to step up to a ddr3 board. Spent many hours/days searching. I'm on a budget max $600. I already have a tower and 700watt pwr supply, Windows 7 64, and a asus 560ti. Here are two set ups I have picked out. which is better or smarter?

1. -asus p8z77-v lk MB
-corsair vengeance 16gb ddr3
-Intel i5 3570k 3.4
-and my asus 560ti
OR
2. -MSI 970A-g53 MB
-8GB Kingston hyper blue (when I sell my 560ti, I will get another 8gb)
-AMD fX-6300 3.5 6 core cpu
-Asus R9 270x video card

My goal is to play b4 on ultra. Any suggestions would help. Is it worth going cheaper on other hardware to get the r9 270x? I know the r9 270x is getting old itself, buts all I can do for now. Thank you

You need a good GPU for Battlefield 4. With AMD you can get a pretty capable motherboard-CPU for around 200$. Spend another 70-80$ dollars for RAM and with the rest get the best GPU you can get. What's your case and PSU?

If your only going to be gaming 8gb is enough.

After collecting the great info I received I have decided to go with my option 2 build. Stick with 8GB Ram, and sell my 560ti and save up a little more and get a better video card than the R9 270X. Thanks again. Any suggestions on a video card For around $300
