I have an AMD FX 6300 and i want to overclock it, I've watched videos on how but everyone always uses a UEFI bios and i don't have one. My room is 19C, my computer:

AMD FX 6300 CPU (30C Idle - 50C Load)
Stock cooler
8GB Hyper X 1600MHz RAM
ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS Motherboard
550W Power Supply

I'm aware that overclocking with the stock cooler won't get me that much of a boost but im still looking to try, would love some help please! 😀

You're right, you shouldn't try OC'ing with the stock cooler. It is only designed to dissipate heat up to 95W TDP. That is the FX-6300 at stock speed maxed out. Also, your MB is not designed for OC'ing. It won't take much in the way of voltage increases or higher freq. But if you want to play around a bit anyway...

In BIOS...
...turn off turbo mode. Increase the CPU clock multiplier 1 click at a time. Save and reboot to Win. Run a stress test like P95 or IBT while watching core temps. Repeat until you get unstable or to unsafe core temps. When you reach unsafe temps or the OC is unstable, back off to the last stable/safe temp number. Don't increase any voltages with that board. And remember, you do this at your own risk.
