Question Need help, Pc wont turn on with gpu installed

I recently built a new pc using a ryzen 9 5950x, nvidia geforce 3080 ti, and a rog strix b550 f gaming motherboard. When turning on the system without the gpu, it turns on fine and all of the fans spin, before getting hung up on the lack of graphics, keeping it from booting. I initially had a 750 w power supply, but thought that might be the problem, so i replaced it with an 850 w psu, which did not fix the issue. If anyone has any idea what could be wrong, i'd greatly appreciate the help.

Are you plugging the monitor into the gpu or motherboard? If motherboard plug into GPU.
