In my search for a 27 inch monitor mostly used for gaming ive found a few all of which people say default settings are really bad plus have ghosting. I find benq price to be the best but here is a list. Of course I'm only buying one, maybe a second later on. Thoughts?

Solution
Yeah 1440p would look way better, it will lower the frame rates, but if you go for a 60hz monitor (which you should in my opinion), then the gtx 970 will handle it pretty well.
